Teaching Artist.
I work in the medium of dance theater with a foundation in American Modern Dance. As an artist who holds collaboration as a central and integral part of the artistic process, my work is meant to re-introduce the essence of storytelling. In what I call “Urban Midwest Storytelling,”. I offer insights about life for the sake of helping others navigate their own.
I believe in a pedagogy that connects dance to the outside world and discovers ways for dance to be an asset to society. I encourage students to take their own stories, and create their own movement language, providing an honest and authentic experiences.
