inCOPnegro (2023)

  • The show inCOPnegro: Aftermath by Dominic Moore-Dunson delves into the lives of four Black men in the wake of community-altering police violence. This 60-minute work combines live jazz and hip-hop music with Moore-Dunson’s distinct "Urban Midwest Storytelling" choreographic style, designed to reflect the unique healing process needed in communities like Akron. By staging the performance in-the-round, the audience is drawn into an intimate setting where they witness the raw, emotional aftermath of racial violence and the community's attempt to heal.
